Formed in Lausanne in 1996 by Michel (lead vocals/guitar) and Julia (bass), The Giant Robots celebrate three decades as one of the most consistent and revered live bands in the European underground. Joined by Guy's biting lead guitar, Fabien's rock-solid drumming, and Tania's hypnotic Farfisa organ, the Swiss quintet bridges mid-60s garage-punk, instrumental surf, and yé-yé pop sung across English, French, and Italian.
From Voodoo Rhythm and Toe Rag to Circo Perrotti
Steadfast devotees of analog tape and period-correct vintage sound, their discography is a treasure trove for physical format lovers. After issuing the acclaimed Too Young to Know Better… Too Hard to Care! (2006) on Reverend Beat-Man's legendary Voodoo Rhythm Records, the band recorded Delightfully Refreshing (2013, Soundflat Records) at London's iconic Toe Rag Studios with Liam Watson. Their recent release, Fuzz You! (Groovie Records), was mixed in Spain by Jorge Explosion at Circo Perrotti Studios, featuring standout tracks like «Avanti la Macchina».
