Pure Burrifornia Sound
Hailing from the coast of Burriana (proudly dubbed «Burrifornia» by the local surf community), Captain Surfocker is an essential figure in the history of the Sant Antoni Pop Festival. Musician and underground agitator from the Plana Baixa, he was part of those legendary foundational editions at the departed Pub Kio, taking the stage back then performing raw rock and roll with Alaridos Salvajes.
Wild Alliance with Mysterian and Reverb Waves
Inseparable vinyl partner and longtime ally of DJ Mysterianâsharing a bond forged through years in DJ booths, underground gatherings, and vinyl marathonsâ, the Captain is a staple at coastal events like the Quasimoto Surf's Up Invitational. His setlist is a tribute to spring-reverb surf (Dick Dale, The Surfaris, Link Wray), raw rockabilly, and primitive frat-rock, set to keep the hall boiling between band sets.
Master of Ceremonies and the Voice of «Little Detroit»
Beyond his prowess behind the decks, Captain Surfocker has carved out an iconic, irreplaceable role at the heart of the festival as its official master of ceremonies. Every year, he kicks off the festival and takes the stage before each set to introduce the bands with raw, authentic charisma that ignites the room. Mic in hand with the crowd buzzing, his trademark chants have become legendary anthems echoed by the entire hallâfrom the infectious âÂĄSĂ, sĂ, sĂ, el garage estĂĄ en BetxĂ!â to passionately rallying behind the spirit of âLittle Detroitâ. A foundational ritual without which the Sant Antoni Pop Festival simply wouldn't be the same.
